Sly C. - Ludwig Ref. Sheet (Updated)

I was just thinking it was time to upload Ludwig's ref. sheet after I created him almost 4 years ago. (Especially after I decided to rewrite the fanfic where he first appears into something more close to the original plot, which I had changed being afraid it would be a bit too much for a game rated E for Everyone)

I decided to stylize him a bit more, making him more compatible with Sly 4's character design without changing him too much. (The only difference is that he now has a more feline face from his mother but also resembles his father Dimitri at the same time as well). Personality: Ludwig is (most of the times) calm, rational, polite and well-mannered. However, as harmless his actions in the daily life may seem, it's just a cover for himself to mask his true intentions: purging the World from those he considers "scum" to make a better living place for the entire population. He doesn't care how many people he kills in the process, as for him this is only a little sacrifice for a greater cause, and Sly and his friends are just another batch of "nuisances" to get rid of. He is also completly conscious of what he is doing, and is not driven by instinct, making him quite a danger.

He is precise and serious and, as much he loves being in the center of attention, he is very careful about his actions. He knows that operating in the shadows is the best way for his so-called "psychological domination", which allows him to inculcate fear and insecurity among people and yet getting away with it.

He happens to be a big narcissist and tends to curl his moustaches when pleased. He sometimes can't hold himself and adds French words into his English. : D

Background: An enfant prodige, just because he was seen as "different" (also to the fact he is a hybrid), he was often beatened and humiliated by his schoolmates and others. When he had met his girlfriend, everything seemed to get better, before the incident that took her life away and made him lose the last bits of sanity that had remained.

Enemies: His nemesis, Sherlock (lol pun) the stag. He is the only one that discovered him, and the only thing he needs now is a proof to be able to definitely take care of him, Sly and his gang.
Stuff:
His manners are based on Vincent Price (that would also be his canon voice if he was a real game character and if Mr. Price was still alive) and his looks/character as whole is modeled after Lenin. His name comes from Ludwig Van Beethoven.

He built a giant blimp-flying fortress shaped as an enormous steampunk-ish dragon which is exactly like a city, but weapon-filled. It is his main way to reach fast every angle of the Globe being unseen, as it is capable to fly at such heights to be either not-visible or mistaken for a bird anyways.
EDIT:
The only way to control the entire thing is Ludwig connecting himself to it via the mechanical implants in his body, although this makes him theorically vulnerable (always if you manage to find a way to damage him directly or the machine itself).

Ludwig actually believes to be the hero and his actions are driven by good intentions, but blinded by his ideals, he's incapable to see that he's using the wrong ways to do a good action (creating a better world).

He DOES sometimes think that he's using extreme ways to "help" the world, but as he himself says, he doesn't really care about that as "people need to learn the hard way".

After his mother divorced from Dimitri (his natural father) due to her extreme jealousy towards him, before the events of Sly: Thieves in Time, she married with Le Paradox. The skunk became so Ludwig's new father, that during the events of said game was 8 years old. Cyrille always tried to be the best paternal figure he could, always being there for Ludwig and giving him the same love he couldn't have from his own father who left him due to the Coopers, but Ludwig could never cope with the loss of Dimitri and therefore never accepted him as father. This fact, added to the previous thrauma, pulled Cyrille to try to impress his son with becoming the greatest thief ever.

His grand-grandfather Octavio teached him how to sing Opera, and Ludwig himself is very fond of how Ms. Decibel plays the piano.

Calling him filthy hybrid is a way to make him go on berserk. : D

The fate he has at the end of the fanfic can be interpreted in two ways, either that he died or that he survived.

In-game ideas:

He'd have two boss battles:

--> The first one would be when opposing resistance upon being arrested after being discovered as the criminal mastermind behind everything, being him against Sly and Carmelita, but resulting in him managing to overpower them and escape.
It takes place in his house, in a big space where the only thing that can be seen is him and his piano, while playing this -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgw_RD… as he "predicts" our heroes' incoming fate.

--> The second and last would be the game's final fight, against him and his giant dragon fortress: as he controls it, his brain is connected to the entire machine. Sly, the gang and the others will have to find a way to destroy the entire thing (making it the longest boss battle in the Sly serie).

Fighting him for the first time will give you the trophy "The Fall of the Heroes".

Defeating him once for good will award you with the trophy "Le Miserable".
